Kidzania Singapore 2018

The last time we went to Kidzania was in 2016 and we managed to score 4 tickets early this year from a giveaway contest, whee!

They were valid till end June 2018, so we had initially intended to use them on a random weekday school holiday like the last time, but a clever friend tipped us off on how Saturdays were actually less crowded, in her experience.

I recalled how the last time Kidzania was inundated with childcare school groups, and that could hold for any weekday (school hols or not), and realised that hey, a weekend might indeed be better!

And indeed it was! This was the situation at 10am on Saturday, and it was extremely civilised!

More on what we found different this time around later in the post, but first up, this was what we managed to do that day, in a snapshot. Might be helpful as a reference. : )

Here’s the version with photos……

All ready to explore and conquer Kidzania!

Some differences I noticed this time:

– parents are no longer allowed in as passengers when their kids work as cabin crew, so it was nice that we managed to do so the last time we were here.

– there’s at least one free mobile and tablet charging station conveniently located near the aviation and ‘factory’ street. (Photo below) I was able to park myself at the row of tables whilst the girls spent quite a lot of time on that street, meet them in between activities, and charge my phone.

– there are two massage chairs in the parents’ lounge! Grandpa was less enthused about watching the kids go about their activities so he really enjoyed the massage chair and spent most of the day happily ensconced in the parents lounge.

All in all, it was a fun day, not least because the queues were so manageable! The girls did 7 activities with less than 15 mins of queueing for each, and did not queue more than 30 mins for any activity.
