This book is worth its weight in gold.
It contains short yet richly devotional thoughts on every single chapter of the bible. Just a small A5 page long for every chapter, it helps every parent who doesn’t know whether they are well-equipped to exegete the bible as they bring their kids through it, or who doesn’t have time to prepare for it.
It’s not a commentary, but even better, it draws out the key nuggets that we should hide in our heart, and helpfully draws parallels to new and old testament passages that shed further light on how we should apply these passages to our lives.
Apart from being a fantastic resource for daily Family Worship times, it has helped me immensely in my walk through the bible. I had just finished Leviticus and am now going through Numbers. The short paragraphs in this Family Worship Bible Guide open my eyes to what the details and repetition mean and help me ponder on how I can apply the Word to my life today.
