LUMOS kindly sent over their latest LUMOS DOMINATE Action Camera for review, and when I received it, I was truly impressed at how tiny yet versatile it was!
Here are ten reasons why I think it’s amazing at this price point.
#1 – COMPACT AND LIGHT
At just 2.5 inches long, 1.5 inches high and 1 inch thick, this is a little chilli padi that packs a punch in features! You can easily slip it into a pocket or pouch, and if you attach it to a helmet, it would not add pounds to strain your neck.
Here’s how it performed.

#2 – FRONT AND REAR SCREENS
Most action cameras have rear screens but this one even has one in front! Perfect for vlogging, and checking that you’ve captured everything in frame, on-the-go. The rear screen is very generously sized too.
#3 – INCREDIBLE PRICE
If you are looking for a wallet-friendly action camera that has all the features you need and more, look no further. For just $199, you can own the LUMOS DOMINATE, which comes with a cool waterproof clear case. Most other camera retailers sell such a waterproof case separately, but here it is all already packaged together with a 32GB SD card too. When I took it out of the box, the battery was fully charged and I could use it immediately!
#4 – TRAVEL BUNDLE ADD-ON
If you want all the accessories you could ever dream of for an action camera, you can add on the Travel Bundle at just a click of the button.
At just $59 more, you get all this shown below. A tripod (great for my kid’s speedcubing, when she wants to take a video of her competition results at the table), a selfie stick (for all those vlogging or underwater snorkeling moments), 2 extra batteries (extra long usage time), straps, a hard case to store everything, and much more!
#5 – MOUNT IT ANYWHERE
The makers know that action cameras need to go places – hence the LUMOS DOMINATE is designed to allow you to mount it virtually anywhere.
#6 – WIFI TRANSFER
The Wifi Transfer feature makes it so easy to download photos via an app. In fact, once you power on the camera, it will bring you through the key features, and also prompt you with a QR code to immediately download the app on your phone.
You can also transfer photos out using the SD card that comes with the camera, or by attaching the provided cable to your laptop. But to me, nothing beats the convenience of Wifi Transfer.
#7 – QUALITY SPECS
This will not be the highest quality action camera you can purchase, but at this price point, LUMOS DOMINATE offers plenty. 5K Ultra HD, 4K 60 Frames Per Second.
48MP Camera ensures that you get high-resolution photos even on a very compact camera.
Built-in Stabliser – super important in an action camera.
#8 – 170 DEGREE WIDE LENS AND 5X ZOOM
Whether you are going for a wide-angled shot, or seeking a close-up zoom, LUMOS DOMINATE has got you covered.
#9 – VERTICAL SHOOTING
Everyone knows vertical shots are essential for IG stories and the like, so this is a great in-built feature.
#10 – 1-YEAR WARRANTY
If you are wondering whether such an affordable camera would be reliable, fret no more! LUMOS offers a 1-year local Singapore warranty with every purchase!
So if you are looking for a pint-sized action camera for all your active lifestyle shots, you can hop on over to seriously consider the LUMOS DOMINATE at its original website https://www.lumosprojector.com/dominate
