Whipple up a cupcake

K turned four recently, and one of the gifts she received was a cupcake craft decor set. First it was hard to decipher whether the cupcake contents were real food, but eventually we realised that this was a craft set that could produce three display cupcakes and three little ones that could be used as key chains. Cool to the max.

Cos the set included tiny parts, we waited till baby b had her morning nap, and then opened the box for some great fun. The plain cupcake bases looked so real. And the whipple cream that was to be squeezed out like real whipped cream, with a very similar texture so those familiar with the latter would have no problem handling it (unlike moi). Thereafter, we could attach the glitter bits and fondant lookalike hearts and stars to the whipple which would hold it all in place after it hardens in two hours.

Here’s how the ‘raw ingredients’ look.

Overall, it was such a great idea. We had so much fun (ok I really did, and k did too, plonking down all the little bits and bobs) that this just had to be shared. I have no idea where one can get this, but I’m sure googling around would solve the mystery. In the meantime, enjoy the eye candy.

    1. It’s one-time! cos the whipple hardens… unless you wipe it off within 5 mins, then you can re-do… but not infinitely lah.
