Just like that, dear K, you and your little buddies turn 7 this month. And us mummies have been mummies for 7 years, and friends for almost as long. I guess this gathering was as much for us, as it was to celebrate your birthdays.

So many thoughts, so many feels. Our firstborns, born within 9 days of one another. It’s not easy to arrange for meet-ups, but we try really hard, because we really enjoy these times.  We are all quite different, but somehow, there is this chemistry!

Our husbands have also gotten to know one another somewhat (at least two meet-ups per year, for 7 years!), and feel comfortable chatting together these days.

For our annual joint birthday (we have not missed one yet!), we set aside a date really early. Then we considered a few activities, some outdoors, but it was providence, that we decided on an indoor activity months before the haze hit us. And like almost every kid, all of you enjoyed bouncing on trampolines very much!

It was so nice having this gathering, to jump together, and then to lunch together. It was our family’s first time at a trampoline park too. I was aching terribly the next day though.  Old joints and muscles… need to exercise more…

Only realised after looking at this photo that the little miss above was trying to walk on the lime green band! Clearly she soon found out that it was not meant to be walked on. Her favourite moment was gathering up enough courage to jump from the diving platform. It was quite scary (found out first-hand) but shiok precisely because it was quite high!

Here’s my maiden attempt at capturing a jump shot! I have a long way to go, I know…

Here are the little trampoliners, with some siblings thrown in.

Thereafter, it was off to a fun lunch, and an exchange of mummy-approved presents that they all loved!

Have marked down the date, and am looking forward to our next gathering already. : )
