Has it been six years?

Serendipity. Restaurant week started in time for us to celebrate our sixth anniversary at some seventy floors above ground. It’s always nice to dine with a view.

And even better when there’s fine food to boot.

From the farm
For the sweet tooth

Time does pass quickly when you’re having fun, and in our case even more so when you’re faced with having to manage two little imps. So it was a treat to slow down, not have to cut-up and shovel-in spoonfuls into little mouths, or have little hands tugging at your sleeve even as one tries to keep oneself from the brink of starvation.

Historic quarter

To have a chat, to reconnect, to purpose to build up a marriage that glorifies God. To take the opportunity to recite, remember (and in some ways renew?) our vows, as inspired by a fellow mummy blogger.

It’s easy to forget when we’re caught up with bringing up children, that what’s most important for them, is a sound marriage.

And to remember that it’s important to take time out to build on our marriage, and not to feel guilty when taking time out to do that. Sobering isn’t it?  That sometimes, spending every waking moment with the children (or exclusively focusing on them alone), might jeopardise the marriage, which in turn is not best for them…… Especially at the hard-driven pace of life in Singapore, it’s only too easy to neglect our spouse, when this is one of the most important relationships to constantly nurture.
