Recently, I was looking for an affordable option for an outdoor family photoshoot, to capture precious memories with the people who matter most to us.
I chanced upon Firefly Photography and realised that they have a very reasonable Glow120 package. At $120, you get a 90 minute outdoor photoshoot for up to 5 pax (each additional person costs $10 more), with all images (about 150-200) in high-resolution sent to you in a link within a week, and the best 50 images edited and sent to you in a DVD within 4-6 weeks. I think that’s a fantastic deal.
So I happily got in touch with Firefly Photography, and made an online appointment for a photoshoot at MacRitchie. They have a number of slots at certain venues every weekend, and it was easy to choose a slot that suited us.
On the day itself, we had beautiful light at the golden hour of 5pm.
These were my favourite photos from the session!
Our photographer Mervin was tireless and effable, getting everyone comfortable so that we could get some great shots for posterity.
I had been meaning to arrange for a photoshoot with my parents as well as my granduncle and his wife, since they are a big part of the village that helps in the daily care of K & B.
I think these are images that will be deeply treasured.
Plus, they can be converted into all sorts of useful photo gifts to delight the grandfolks.
I love this shot because it captures how much these two gramps (grandpa and granduncle) simply dote on spunky B.
I think these shots are very precious too, since they capture marriage bonds of many decades. No marriage is perfect, but just showing up day after day, and keeping to one’s vows is plenty, especially in this day and age.
I love this photo of my parents too! They certainly have had their ups and downs but I am very grateful for them, and how they still continue to give so much to the care of their grandchildren. May our good Lord bless them with many more years of good health!
We had many more lovely pictures, including those of just the four of us as a nuclear family. We have a family photoshoot once every 2-3 years, but now I’m thinking that we should definitely have one at least every two years!
Our experience with Firefly Photography was also a very pleasant one – I found them sincere and professional, and our photographer Mervin was a real trooper, encouraging everyone to press on though it was a really hot evening! And his photos above speak for themselves – we are delighted to have such a set of wonderful memories for the family album.
So if you’re looking for an affordable option, do check out Firefly Photography and their team of dedicated photographers.
Note: We received a complimentary photoshoot to share a review of our experience.
