Cloud Productions Family Photography

We hadn’t had a family photoshoot in more than 2 years.  So when Cloud Productions invited us to review their outdoor photography service, we gladly said yes.

Chief Photographer Irene was particularly gracious in agreeing to have the kids’ parental extended family come along too. It was truly a big happy family shoot.

Life is often not scripted according to our plans – K got really moody right before the shoot. She was scolded for being uncooperative since morning, and I thought, “Great, we’re probably not going to get any smiles from her.” Thankfully, she slowly cheered up as the shoot started.

We felt the hour-long shoot was just right, for towards the end, the children were already getting fidgety. We chose a venue that looked great from Irene’s portfolio, and that was convenient for us.

It was a blazing hot late afternoon, but that meant we had great light for our shoot throughout 530pm – 630pm. The ‘golden hour’ of sunshine falls somewhere in that time, if I remember correctly?

We had a pleasant time, and it was evident that Irene is an experienced professional – don’t be fooled by her youthful looks and chirpy schoolgirl demeanour!

As for the photos – the high resolution soft copies were sent to us via an online file transfer site super fast – just 3.5 days after our shoot.  We were very pleased when we saw them, and now you can also see why!

My favourite smiles in the whole wide world.

I am totally prejudiced, but I think the shots are gorgeous! Don’t you agree? 🙂

I have always loved photos (urm, that’s why I blog!) and think it’s lovely to immortalise the look of the kids at a certain age. Had planned to go a photoshoot a year, but obviously got too busy living life, haha.  Hopefully in the years to come, I’ll be more organised about that!

So, if you’re looking for a photographer to capture those family moments, and produce great shots that you can’t quite manage, I’d recommend Cloud Productions for all the reasons above! They have also prepared some handy tips on how to prepare for an outdoor shoot, so do read it before you go for one.

Apart from Irene, there are five other photographers in the company. Each brings with them their own unique style, but all hold their photography to high standards (check out their professional tips on photo editing), and will ensure that each client receives quality shots.

Beyond specialising in Family & Couple portraits, the team also covers events such as kids’ birthday parties.  Just drop an email to to find out more!
